Spreadsheet to Form Widget: Update field in XLS

I am working on creating a record of what my staff has been trained to do, and what they yet to learn.

I have created a simple spreadsheet, with staff names, etc...and columns labeled with tasks that need to be trained and learned, then in each cell is a simple "yes" if they have been trained, or "no" if they have not.  I have read, and tried the "Spreadsheet to Form" widget which completes 1/2 of my challenge....pulling a record, and filling in the form.

Once I have the form populated from the spreadsheet, it seems like I can't change the information from the .xls.  Please explain how I change the information in each cell from "no" to "yes" once a staff member completes the training using the form.

If I have understood your question, It is not possible to update the .xls file which you have uploaded.

However, you can export your form submission to an excel and then compare the data manually with respect to the unique ID and accordingly update it in your .xls file.

    Please refer to this guide:

You can also update your sheet directly by connecting it with Zapier.
