When someone edits or deletes their submission, why does it not update on the integrated Google Sheet?

It seems that when editing or deleting a user submission through the Jotform dashboard editor, the changes do not translate to the connected Google Sheet. Only new entries are updated.

FYI, I do not edit the Google Sheet directly in fear of breaking the link. Instead, I use IMPORTDATA to grab all the fields into another working sheet. I already tried to cancel and restart a new integration, but have failed thus far to successfully update or delete records on the connected Google Sheet after initial submission.

    Thanks for your help!

Please be noted that when a submission is edited, it shall be automatically updated in the Google spreadsheet. However, a deletion of the submission cannot be updated in the Google spreadsheet. I have tested the Edit submission and see that the Google spreadsheet integration is working fine and the submission updated in the spreadsheet as well.

Could you check once again on the same form or a separate form and let us know if the issue still persists? We will be happy to take a look again.

    Hi Kiran,

If deleted submissions cannot be updated in the Google spreadsheet, how do I make that change in the Google sheet without breaking the integration? Everytime I attempt to change something in the Google Sheet (before the data is mirrored to the working sheet with IMPORTDATA), new submissions are not being added, but the integration status still shows as working.

Text fields seem to update correctly, but not calculated fields.

    Thanks for your help!~~

You can delete the data from your Google Spreadsheet, for the submissions you deleted from the submission page. This should not break the integration. I tested this on one of my forms and the integration did not break.

Please note that editing of the column headings in the Sheet this is integrated with a form will break the integration. Also, editing of the form fields inside of the Form Builder or adding new form fields will break the integration.

I also set the calculation inside of my form and the calculation was updated when I edited my submissions. Can you please test it again with your form. If the calculation is still not updated, please provide us the form, you are working on.
