Limit the number of characters in Textarea field on Configurable List Widget?

I have created a configurable list to include a text area, which I would like to limit the number of characters to 150 max. I cannot seem to find the proper way to do this. Any thoughts? 

If I understood you correctly you want to limit number of character that can be entered inside of Configurable List textarea. 

Unfortunately, Configurable List widget doesn't have the property to limit character input like the TextArea field at Form Elements. However, we can make a feature request to add character limitation to this widget.

Thank you Victoria. Yes, my intent is to limit the textarea. If this isn't possible with textarea, is it possible with Configurable list text? Or is it simply not an option inside configurable lists at all?  

Unfortunately, there's no such option in the config list as of the moment. We will forward this as a feature request so it would hopefully be considered in the future updates. If that happens, we will let you know here.
