    Problem With Text Fields That Have Default Values

    Hello everyone. I spoke with Jonathan on Live Chat, and he suggested that I ask for support here.

    I have a form with several Form Collapse options (http://form.jotform.us/form/23323816128147). Within those options, there are text fields with default values filled in. When I preview and test the form, the default values for those text fields appear blank. To see this in action, go to http://form.jotform.us/form/23323816128147At the beginning of the form, under "No? Create An Account", enter an email address. The Account Creation collapse will open with fields to be filled in. They have default values, but they are not showing.

    To see the fields with default values, go here: http://www.jotformpro.com/form/23328220933953. Jonathan created this form and removed the conditional statements that were applied to my form. He believes, possibly, that the problem lies within the conditional statements.

    Hi kokopelliama,

    We've fixed the issue. Default values will not be cleared no more if the field is mentioned in a condition. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    I've rolled back to the old version, so the issue still exists, sorry for that. Problem is more complicated than I suppose. I'll update this in a couple of hours. Thank you.

    Thank you for looking into this problem. I have a meeting with colleagues to discuss this form this morning, so I will make a copy of the form for my use.

    We've fixed it at last, so default values will remain intact inside a collapse field. If you've another concern about this issue, please contact us throudh this thread. Thanks.
