We want to create calculation forms which just show a result (calculation result) based on user input. So there should be no 'submission' of data, just when a button is pushed a number shows up. Is that possible with JotForm?

If I understood correctly, you want to perform a calculation in your form, but the form should not have a submit button. That is possible with JotForm.
You can perform a calculation with the Form Calculation widget.
How to Perform Form Calculation Using a Widget
You can simply remove the submit button from your form, if you don't want to collect entered data.
To show the result on click, you can add the Page Break field to your form, and change the text of the "Next" button to for example "Click to see your result". The Form Calculation widget should be on the second page of a form.
Another way is to use conditional logic to show the result.

Here is a demo form that I created - https://form.jotform.com/81924843535968
