Form views almost reaches limit eventhough only few users uses my forms

Not that many people are using my forms, how did my form views jump over 1000 in one day?

I feel like it is a way of making user feel pressured to upgrade to the next tier level of payment. I have 12 forms of which only 2 or 3 are used daily and there is no way that in one day let alone in between the 4 hours that I was on jotform that 1000 people looked at my forms.

What happens when it is caps at 10,000? Does that mean no one can even view the forms?

Not sure exactly why your form views counter have suddenly jumped.

One way of finding out is to use JotForm analytics:

OK, so you can see first that the affected form is the "Please let us know how we are doing!" form http://www.jotform.us/form/80804511101137

Note that these are form views, not submissions. A form view will occur each time the page is loaded. Regardless if a submission was made or not.

When your view limit is reached you forms will schedule to disable. Usually you only have two options in this case. You can either upgrade your account to increase your limits. Or you can wait until the 1st day of the month for the counters to reset to zero. They do this each month.

In this case it looks like 184.74.7.138 is the main visitor. And checking your account shows that that is your IP address.

So as a wild guess, may I ask if you are using Adobe Dreamweaver to develop the site this page is hosted on? Or some other CMS ( Content Management System ) that repeatedly loads the page?

I don't have access to your computer, so I cant determine exactly what on your computer ( and/or your network ) could be causing this. Please let us know if you have recently installed any software you might suspect.

Now, I see you are paying Bronze customer. So in an effort to maintain customer satisfaction I have reset your views counter to zero. Although please note that this is not an ideal solution. We should identify what is causing this and fix it at the source.

We will wait for you to report back to us.

Thank you for getting back to me, Yes i am using a cm. I am using volusion
and I placed the survey as a feedback button on my homepage. So is it every
time the homepage loads and loads the survey, that will count as a view
even if they don't click the review button?

Yes, if you embed the form to one of your pages, and that page is loaded, that will already count against your form views, regardless if the button was clicked or not.

You may check this guide to know more about form view limits: Form-View-Limits-What-Is-It-All-About

Yes that is true, each embedded form that is loaded will count toward a view.

However, its also true that if you load the stand alone form it will count as a view.

And if you are using CMS software, they sometimes load the form repeatedly during development. Which makes the views shoot up.

A simple test would be to check your views, then load your form in volusion and check the views again. If you find that is the problem, please post you result here, so that other volusion users will know what the problem is.
