Hi, I am trying to create a form that requires the user to put in their name, number, and email, and when they submit it allows them to download an article/document that we have pre loaded.. not really sure where to start or what to look for. Can you help?

Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement. I would suggest you to please build your form with desired form fields and add a "Form Autoresponder" email alert in form. The following guide should help you how to add form auto-responder:  https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Setting-up-an-Autoresponder-Email

In the auto-responder email alert, you can enable "Attach a File" and upload the desired article/document. When the form is submitted, auto-responder email will be sent to user with the file attachment. Please check the screenshot below on how to enable "Attach a File" in email alert:

    Hope this helps.

    Do it this way...

    1. use zapier to post lead to mailchimp

    2.  use mailchimp to autorespond with a templated email that links back to your site where the doc is hosted.

This will simultaneously get you a web  visitor depending on how the lead was sourced and get the lead into a email automation for followup.
