How to make multiple submission restrictions on a survey?

    Hello,

    We would like to create a survey form, but I don't see an option to restrict the form so that people cannot take the form multiple times. We only want one response per person. Does JotForm have this capability?

    Thanks,

    You can do this by adding a unique submissions check on the form. Refer to this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/64-How-to-Set-Unique-Submissions-on-a-Form. Note that this option will prevent multiple submissions from the same IP Address. i.e. same device.

    Other workarounds can include;

    Adding email verification to the form so there is only one submission per email address. Refer to this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/427-How-to-Verify-an-Email-Address-Before-or-After-Form-Submission

    Another option is to set a unique question. This is a good option if you have specific data such as an email, phone number or ID number the user has to enter before filling the form. i.e. you know your users already and can identify them based on these fields. Refer to this guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/223-How-to-set-Form-Limits-Based-on-a-Unique-Question. Using this you can set this field as unique so only one submission with the same email/phone or ID can be made.
