Form Communication via API to Digital Signing service

Asked by soundscapemedia on December 01, 2012 at 03:03 PM

I just started using your service yesterday and it's really great!  I have already implemented things into my company's website.  I have the need to have users on my website sign digital documents regularly and I have been using a service called HelloSign.com to handle the digital signatures.  I am looking for a way to setup an API connection via a form that the user can fill out to populate the information on the contract at HelloSign.com.  I'm wondering if there is currently a way to do this on JotForm? If you guys don't support Hellosign.com, are there other companies that you do support such as echosign.com or docusign.com?

If not, is there a way to have a user sign a digital document on JotForm without the use of a 3rd party signature service?

Many thanks for the great website!

    Hello Jason,

Unfortunately, we do not have a built-in digital signature option and we currently do not offer an option to easily integrate web services other than the ones that are already available (MailChimp, Google Docs, etc).

If not, is there a way to have a user sign a digital document on JotForm without the use of a 3rd party signature service?

There are tons of free signature makers available on the web which your visitors can use, such as this one:

    http://www.mylivesignature.com/mls_sigdraw.php

Using this tool, they can create their own signature and download it as a file.  Afterwards your visitors will have to upload it to your form. Of course, you will need to add an upload field to your form to make this workaround viable.

Hope this information helps in any way.

UPDATE: We have just released e-signature capturing for forms.

You can now add an e-signature question to your form and get your users to sign the forms they complete.

UPDATE: We are happy to announce a JotForm - Adobe eSign widget.

Now the Adobe Document Cloud eSign Services (formerly known as Echosign) can be integrated with your forms in a really easy way. Take a look at our blog post with introduction video for more information.
