How can I set up my form so once the form is submited an e-mail is sent to the applicant with further details?

In order to send the filled data from the form to your customer (the one that is filling the form), you have to create an autoresponder: https://www.jotform.com/help/26-Setting-up-an-Autoresponder-Email

With that set, each time your user submits a form, he/she will receive an email with submitted data (you can add to this email any information you want).
