Hi - I'm trying to download participant information from my form onto a spreadsheet but because the form is encrypted, it's downloading onto Excel as an encryption, rather than the data I can see and that has been submitted.

I can see the answers and the given data perfectly in JotForms, but this changes once I download the form.

How can I see the responses in my Excel document?

Unfortunately, some features such as the Excel Export or PDF Download will not work if the form is encrypted. This is mentioned at the end of this help article: Encrypted-Forms-and-How-to-Use-Them

The reason that this does not work is that the submitted data is saved to our servers as encrypted. The decryption happens on the client side (browser) only and the private key is never uploaded to our servers.

That is why the Excel and PDFs are generated with encrypted data.

We are sorry for the inconvenience.
