Customize PDF submisson : what options do I have once the data is entered?

Is there no better way to customize the .pdf output?  The customizer is terrible and it really doesn't let you make the form look presentable.

I need a way to make the form look like a form that we currently use and your pdf solution just really doesn't accomplish that.  It's too generic.

What options do I have once the data is entered?  User-friendly option...

If you want to print the web form with users filled data in it, you can try the following workaround: https://www.jotform.com/help/335-How-to-Print-the-Form-with-the-Users-Data

Thanks! That may work!  Any way to keep the URL from the top of the form from printing?

When you are about to print it, click on "More settings", and uncheck the "Headers and footers" option:

Redirecting to the form with the responses is ok - except - we use the Unique ID widget and that is a hidden field.  Can it show on edit?  Once the form is submitted it passes through to Thank you page and also email so can it show itself when the form is in edit mode so it can be printed?

The idea is that the form is submitted and a number is consecutively generated but that number needs to be printed on the document that results.

I was able to fully customize the Thank you page passing through form data to create a nice output but if my user closes that page they have no way to get back to it.

    Hello,

The Unique ID field will be shown on form edit. If you add a Print button, as suggested by my colleague, you will be able to print out the form with unique id when editing the submission.

Also, there is an option to include pdf copy of form submission in Autoresponder emails, which are sent to form respondents. The pdf file should also include the submitted unique ID value: How-to-include-submissions-as-PDF-attachment-in-the-email-notifications

    Hope this helps.

The .pdf looks awful and does not allow customization really of any useful kind.

And I've tested it, the Unique ID does not appear on edit.

You need to disable the condition on your form to appear the Unique ID in the Edit Submission page.

Here's a screencast of the enabled condition:

Here's a screencast of the disabled condition and showing the Unique ID field:

    I hope this information helps.

You can also customize your PDF in the PDF Designer page. Here's a guide: https://www.jotform.com/help/384-How-to-Customize-PDF-Submissions-Report

Nope.  I removed the condition and it still does not appear on edit:

and i'm sorry but the pdf designer is useless.  it does not allow you to create anything that is presentable to a client.  it's a list of fields (which incidentally you can remove the field name and field contents separate from one another - it's really not at all useful for any purpose other than to just list answers.)

And I'm talking about editing the actual submission.  So I click "edit" from the email confirmation, which then reopens the form.  I need the Unique ID to appear there.  Not from the control panel of Jotform.  Ultimately, the goal is to print a useful copy of the form even if that means printing the form itself.  But I need the number to appear and you can see it does not:

I have been testing, but for some reason, the Unique ID widget does not show up on edit URL. It only shows through the edit option that the "submissions" page provides.

You can still print the form with users data in it, through the submissions page, example:
