Google Spreadsheets: Add custom header titles in the sheet

I have read some old threads from people asking this same question, but cannot see if it has been resolved.

I would like a way to have a long question in a form shortened to something meaningful in the resulting Google Sheet, e.g.

The question on the form could read: "How many times have your eaten bananas this week?", whilst to column header could read "Bananas".

Unfortunately, this is not possible to do at the moment, the columns headers passed to the Google Spreadsheet widget are  the fields labels. There may be a way to set the desired column header in the field settings, then hide it and set a different label on the form using some CSS code, but it would require to affect each field and develop a  lot of code. 

We may however open a feature request for this, although we cannot provide  an ETA, we would keep you updated via this thread.

Yes, this is something I would very much like to see, and, going by the number of other people who have raised this same question, I believe it to be a sought-after feature.

A workaround to this I would recommend is to create a 2nd page on the Google Spreadsheet and then add spreadsheet commands to copy over values from the 1st page of the sheet. This way you can add custom titles to the second sheet.
