Emails not received when Condition disabled

    Hi,

Please let me know if this is the expected result (I would expect otherwise).

I had a form with 2 notification emails. Both had conditions on them (change recipients depending on a selection made).
I had cloned the form from another form. The new form did not employ the selections tied to the conditions.

Knowing I didn't need them, I "disabled" the conditions.
However, when the form was sent, the notification emails did not fire (despite the conditions disabled).

I resolved this by simply "deleting" the conditions altogether.

But I am still curious. I expected the conditions to be ignored since they were disabled.

Sorry, I can't even send you a link as I have resolved the issue.

But please let me know how this is supposed to act (when all conditions are disabled).

    Best regards,

    Bruce

You said that you disabled the conditions in the cloned version, correct? This conditions triggers an email once an option matches the rule, correct? This means that disabling these conditions won't trigger any rule. Also, these conditions won't trigger an ordinary email notification as you have already assigned a condition for those notifications. You'll need to create a separate notification that doesn't have condition to trigger it every time the form is submitted.

Am I correct in understanding your concern / issue? Looking forward for your response.

My expectation was that, after disabling the conditions, that it would revert to sending as if no conditions exist. Apparently it does not.
Anyway, don't worry about it. I know how to avoid it now.

But since I let myself be mislead, I thought other users might do the same. So I was curious and reported the experience.

Thanks for responding. Have a great day.

    Regards,

Nope, that is not how it works. Once an email is tied to a condition, that email notification will not be used as a regular email notification. You'll need to create a separate notification that is not tied with any condition.
