Google Spreadsheet Integration keeps breaking

I am trying to setup a google spreadsheet to collect all of my form submissions. As I was testing I noted that new forms were not being added.

I conducted some tests by disabeling and then re-initializing the google spreadsheet integration. Each time I can get the existant forms (ones submittied before integration) to populate in the spreadsheet, but whenever I submit a new form they do not show up in the spreadsheet.

How long is population of newly submitted forms supposed to take? I am getting the email almost instantly. I've waited about 10 minutes between tests for the spreadsheet.

Now, before doing this I had set up integration and then added some of the fields in my form. I have old form/records that were created before those changes.

Also, I tried deleting submissions and editing submissions directly from JotForm as well as on the spreadsheet. But all of those tests were on previous integrations. As I said I have disabled and re-initiated the integration with a new folder and spreadsheet name and everything. I was careful not to mess with anything and STILL new form submissions don't show up in the spreadsheet.

I am not sure how it is supposed to work, but if I am not able to manually edit my spreadsheet to remove/edit incorrect submissions AND if the edits/deletions made directly on JotForm do not percolate down to the spreadsheet this will cause a problem (byond the current problem in which it is just not working at all... which I am willing to admit I did something stupid... I just don't know what).

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,

Firstly, lets see if we can find an explanation for why new submissions are not showing up on your google spreadsheet.

Do you have the integration currently set up showing the 4 existing submissions?

If, so can you please try do a test submission from this URL for your form and let me know if it gets added to your googledoc?

( it should generally take no more than a couple of minutes for the submission to pull through to your form )

I tried submissing using the linke provided. Nothing showed up after about 10 minutes. So I de-activated the Spreadsheet integration and then set it up fresh, again. Just like last time, it successfully initalizes a new SpreadSheet and puts all the previously submitted forms (in this case there were 6 existing, I added a test and a real submission since the first post)

However, after submitting a test form (again using the link you provided above) nothing happens. I now have 7 submissions on my form, but only 6 entries on my spreadsheet.

I did not alter anything on either JotForm's side or the google side. I did not even open up the spreadsheet this time until after the first test submission.

I have done this deactivate/reactivate thing 5 or 6 times now, each time same problem.

    OK,

I have worked out the issue with your form.

In the matrix field, it does not like the > signs you are using. it just be pulling through as a HTML or special character and breaking the integration.

Can you please change the 3 matrix row labels and remove this symbol?

e.g I change them to the below this on a cloned form and everything is working as expected.

Can you give that a go and let us know how you get on?

Yes, that seems to have fixed it, I am now getting updates properly. Yay.

I have some other questions about Spreadsheet integration and proper procedure for updating form that had wrong information on them... but I'll post that to another question once I finish testing.

    Thanks.

I have the exact same proplem, but I'm not using any > < symbols.  Perhaps there's another character it doesn't like?

i am also having this issue. i can re-integrate without any problems; all submissions up to the point of any integration will then feed in. but, no new submissions will populate the spreadsheet after that. i don't have any symbols in my form either (like donadioj, above)...

    thanks!

Hello, graceming. can you start a new thread for this so we can look into your form's case properly?

    Thanks.
