Having Lag and Latency issues on my form

I have 10-15 users using the forms daily all throughout the day and it seems very slow this morning. It is not a local issue as it is affecting employees in various states, and was replicated by the Jotform tech as well...

Other websites on other tabs work fine. I thought maybe you were doing back end maintenance that may have been adding in lag or latency to the system, but I was told that was not the case...

We removed the ability to come back later and edit the form, (which i just added about a week ago) and it seems to speed up but is still slower than normal.

I had no speed issues using it yesterday and late last night , just started occurring this morning.

As far as I can tell, the load time is due to the first image in the form and the background images.  A couple of your images are in excess of 7mb:

Using images with smaller file sizes would greatly reduce the load time for the form.  Depending on the users bandwidth, loading in 15+MB of images when the form loads can take quite some time.

That is the same photo that has been in the system since February with little to no lag at all….it just started having an issue today….

I am seeing a consistent 5-6 seconds to load the page, with about 21MB being loaded.  That seems about right considering the number of conditions that need to be checked and the number of fields.

Is the form taking longer than that to load on your end?

I usually takes a 30 sex to a minute for the conditions and all the calculations to tabulate but it was spinning for anywhere from two to five minutes and would never connect and display at all when I first addressed it with your technician... after we disabled the ability to come back and finish that seem to have sped it up
I only just added that functionality in last week

Save and continue does need to check each field in the form and save along the way.  For larger forms it does take quite a bit of resources.  If you want to allow for partial submissions and allow the user to return at a later time to update/finish their submission, you could add an edit submission link to your autoresponder email:

That way they can submit their data as they go and return later to update it.

If there is an alternative way to do what I'm trying to do I would prefer to use that as I'm not worried about saving and continuing however we have a lot of repeat customers and I was told if I start typing into a field by putting that option on it will automatically populate with previously entered data like a form fill
It was a suggestion from my end users since there is so many repeated addresses repeated phone numbers repeated customer names etc it would be good for the system to auto fill to speed up data entry however I was told checking the continue option was the only way to do that
I know each individual user can use AutoFill in Chrome or with whatever browser they use however I was trying to control that capability from our back end rather than leaving that up to each individual end-user is there a way to accomplish this and not use the feature that I had enabled

There is a kind of alternative way of achieving to auto-fill the data using a spreadsheet to form widget. Here is the article that explains how it works: How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget

You can upload an External sheet with the database of your customers. By using one of the fields such as Email or Phone number you can populate all other fields from the excel sheet.

You can test the demo Form: https://www.jotform.com/71642066575965. Here we are using a unique code to populate the data from the External Sheet.

I hope this helps! Let us know should you need further assistance.
