BlueSnap integration: JotForm is sending encrypted email address and a different soft descriptor to BlueSnap

    Hi,

I've been using Jotform for the past week - has been working great, however I noticed a pretty big issue that I'd like to see if we can resolve.

I have Jotform integrated to my Bluesnap account.

Every order I receive, I've noticed that in my Bluesnap account, the email for the client's order gets encrypted or simply doesn't get transferred.

    Here's a picture: https://puu.sh/BrVoh/0b57249abb.png

You can see that the 'buyer email' is encrypted/or not transferred over.

While this isn't a huge issue, here's the bigger issue:

I've noticed that the "soft descriptor" that I have in my Bluesnap account also completely changes when I'm processing orders through Jotform.

Here's my soft descriptor through Jotform: https://puu.sh/BrVq9/2ed20f123f.png

And here's the soft descriptor it's supposed to be (and always has been when I've processed through order form creation softwares:) https://puu.sh/BrVrn/bca5bf94b2.png

The reason this is such a big issue is because when clients go to check their credit card statements, they see "BLS*82417306684157" instead of our company name, which is "BLS*MarketersEdge"

This greatly increases our charge-back / refund rate as our clients do not recognize the company name.

Hope that makes sense - it seems Jotform is encrypting / or changing the information transferred over. I've made sure I have all encryption settings off, so not sure why this is happening.

Hopefully there's a way to resolve this!

    Thanks!

Unfortunately, I do not have a BlueSnap testing account to test the integration at this moment. However, since the form is connected to BlueSnap using API and the information about Soft Descriptor can only be configured in your BlueSnap account, could you check if it is something to be changed in BlueSnap account along with the encrypted email? Please refer to the document from BlueSnap that might help you in this regard.

You may also get in touch with BlueSnap support for any further assistance. Meanwhile, I'll see if I can get a sandbox account for further testing. Please get back to us if you need any further assistance. We will be happy to help.

I am sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience. I have tested the issues reported and was able to replicate the email issue using Sandbox mode. The other issue with Soft Descriptor is not displaying in the recent transactions or Soft descriptor field is not displaying on other reports.

I've forwarded the issues to our backend team for further investigation. If there is any update in this regard, you'll be posted here.

    Thanks!

    Hello @patricksargis,

I have implemented all changes you requested. Thank you for your valuable feedbacks.

    #1 - Email Field

You need to open Payment Wizard and select Customer Email Field. You can add more than one email field to your form. That's why, we don't set email field as customer email automatically. You need to specify which email field you want to use as customer email field from the Payment Wizard.

    #2 - Soft Descriptor

You can enter your descriptor into your form from Payment Wizard.

Please test your form and let me know if it is working good for you or not.

If you need any other details, please let me know.

    Thank you.
