I have checked your form and it seems you're using the short text entry to limit your character to 300. However,do note that this would only limit 300 words in the entry, if you want to define exactly the character limit I would suggest using the Long Text entry.

And use the limit type Letters, in which it will only get 300 characters in the input field.

Do note also, if ever your remove a field with a submission. That submission would be deleted. I would suggest hiding the field so that the submission won't be deleted.

Please give it a try and let us know if this fits your requirements.

    Thank you.

Used long text entry and did a trial submission. Can insert more than character limit. I did not resubmit form after making changes. Should I have?

I have edited the long text entry elements on your form so that the maximum number of characters that can be entered is 200 (as per your field descriptions).
