    Hi,

I have a form, https://form.jotformeu.com/82614862268363, which has a View Proposal Document hyperlink within.

I am trying to setup a way to use the account and proposalref fields within the form within the URL.

Is there a way I can do this?

I can see you have embedded a PDF file using its URL in the form. I couldn't see the document though as it was password protected.

I reckon you want to use Account and Proposal Ref fields inside the PDF file. Please correct me if that's not your aim.

You can create a PDF form with the content inside your existing PDF file and by adding the above 2 fields. You can then embed the PDF form using the same technique. Here is the article that will help on How-to-Create-a-PDF-Forms.

I hope this helps. Do let us know should you need further assistance.

    Hi,
I think you’ve mis understood my question unfortunately.
I have a link to an externally stored PDF (on FTP server) which has the password in the url. The idea is that the customer clicks the link to see their unique proposal document then returns to the JotForm to accept and sign for it.
The link will be unique each time because the account value and proposal ref value will be captured from the form fields.
I want to include the form values in the ftp url behind the link.
Basically, I want a dynamic hyperlink on the form which will change based on the two field values mentioned.

Unfortunately, you cannot pass the field values inside the anchor tags. Hence field names cannot be populated into the hyperlink that refers to the external URL.

However, you can pass it to the plane URL text when you the URL as a plain text. The users will have to manually copy this text as an URL.

The only other alternative is to create a new form that resembles your proposal document and pass the values into it. To achieve this, you will need to copy the PDF content into your the other form. Here is the help guide that explains this process: Prepopulating-Fields-to-Your-JotForm-via-URL-Parameters

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
Our proposal pdf is quite detailed and has lots of legal bits that have to stay in its original pdf.
There must be another way using html or script that we can create a clickable button or text and use values from the form in the url? This is a massively important feature for us, could you maybe speak with the development team to check if there is a way to make this work please?

I checked all possible options to make this work however it is not possible to insert field values into the anchor text URL.

You may want to take help from Web Developer to create a custom script to achieve this. I can raise this as a feature request if you would like, however, we cannot provide an ETA as to when and if this will implemented.
