Updating an InfusionSoft contact blanks out all the fields

    Also, let's say I want to use this to update an Infusionsoft contact, and I only change one field, leaving all the others blank. When it updates the existing contact, it "blanks out" the original values from the infusionsoft fields. When all I really wanted to do was update the one that I modified. Is there a way to accomplish that?

    If I understand you correctly, you are saying that when you edit a submission to update a field, all the Infusionsoft tags are being "blanked out"?

    I have just tested this but I could not replicate the issue.

    If you want your Infusionsoft contact to be updated when you edit a submission, please make sure that the Duplicate Check option is set to Update Existing Contact in the Infusionsoft Integration.


    If you are still having issues, please give us more details on what you are trying to achieve and with which form.

    It was set that way. I turned it off. Instead of updating only the field
    that have information, it updates the Infusionsoft contact to have only the
    information entered, deleting any previously existing info

    Can you please give us more details on this so that we can investigate it.

    - What are the steps that we need to take to replicate the issue?

    - What is the Form URL that is integrated with Infusionsoft?
    - What is the Submission ID that you have edited?
    - Which fields of the submission are being sent as blank to Infusionsoft when you update/edit the submission?

    I have tried to replicate this in one of my forms but everything seems to work correctly. The changes that I make when editing the submission are reflected in Infusionsoft and other fields are not affected.

    No. The infusionsoft tags are not being blanked out. 

    Let's say I submit a form with email bob@example.com phone number 5551212 and a website url field that is empty.

    Now lets say i already have a contact in infusionsoft  with the same email address and the website url field value of www.example.com.

    When JotForm sends the submission, the empty url value will override the already existing value of www.example.com.

    That seems destructive to me. It would seem to me if I update an already existing record in infusionsoft, only fields with a value stored in them should change a pre-existing field. Blank fields should be ignored. At least that should be an option. An option settable per field would be nice actually.

    I like using things like Zapier and Jotform, because they are supposed to make things easier and save time. But, the truth is, I should code my own application, because nothing seems to work intuitively out-of-the-box.

    We have released a fix for this bug.

    Existing field data should not be removed from here on out.
