Many Responder E-mails Arrive BlankAsked by AgPhd on December 27, 2012 at 05:06 PM
We have been having this issue as long as we have used JotForm, it seems, but it has gone from isolated incident to something I have had to address several times daily now. The issue is the forms such as those here:
Arrive blank when the responder gets the message. If they SEND me a response back saying, "My e-mail is blank!" I can see their entire form and e-mail below in the Original Message they received. I can simply reply back and say, "Look below, and it should be there," and they can see it. But they receive a blank e-mail originally.
I have tried but have been unable to replicate this error in Hotmail, Gmail, and Outlook, and have been receiving an increasing number of e-mails and calls on this issue. This has occurred for months (years, actually) across multiple forms.
Have you tried to rebuild the entire autoresponder? You could also try to make a customized Thank You page with the pdf link (and the customized message) on this particular form while leaving the autoresponder just with the fields that were filled out.
I will be making some tests in order to reproduce the error and get back to later
I've gone in and rebuilt the autoresponder e-mails on both of the forms I mentioned above. Until I hear more from you on whether you can recreate the issue, right now I'm just taking a wait-and-see approach on whether rebuilding makes a difference or not.

I know you stated this was happening before but any idea of how often or has this been going on every day for so many months or longer now?
I was not able to reproduce the error, please find the screnshot with my results (I shortened my clone of your form to a few fields)

I know for sure we had the issue last year around this time, as I used a similar form for workshop signups that we did (We do these annually). However, I don't remember the problem being as widespread as it seems to be this year.
I did recently add the PDF link to text in the responder e-mail. However, we were having issues before I did that, so I'm pretty sure that isn't it. The recreated responder still contains the PDF form link added. Now, we're having more sign-ups because we're getting closer to the Workshop dates, and I'm getting calls frequently about receiving an e-mail that is blank.
So, as to it happening every day - no, not every day because we don't always have these forms up and live. However, it is not a new issue. It is becoming more common, however.
I have also been unable to reproduce this issue. That's the frustrating part. People keep calling in with the issue, but I've not been able to replicate it.
Thus far, I have not had any calls regarding signups made after rebuilding the responder this morning. I HAVE gotten calls about older e-mails, though.... So, time will tell on that one.
What is odd about the whole thing is that if they respond to the blank e-mail, I can read their entire form because it is like any other e-mail where you can see what someone has sent previously. They can't see it, but I can. If I respond, they can read it, as well. But they can't read it the first time.....
The scenario you describe have happened to me with gmail, though emails were not coming from Jotform, so I don't know if this is a glitch either on an email client like Outlook or Thunderbrid
