Let me add... this is showing the REPORT of the form filled out in PDF format...

So why is it creating an editable PDF document? That is not the purpose of the "PDF Submissions Report", it is after the fact and should not be editable..the PDF report

but after that, the formatting is not even close something is readable. Fields and text are overlapping etc...

When you customize the report you can download it as a PDF file:

The downloaded file ".pdf" should not be editable. If you're experiencing this issue, please kindly provide us the URL of the form where this happened and let us know where you can edit the report.

This guide will help you getting the form URL: https://www.jotform.com/help/401-Where-to-Find-My-Form-URL

We will wait for your response.

    Hi,

PDF Editor is a replacement for old PDF designer that you reach via Customize PDF menu on the submissions page.

So if you are using PDF Editor, that means you are designing how your PDFs would look like. It is not a reporting interface, it is an editor.

The downloaded PDFs will not be editable. As you mentioned, they are static PDF files.

The only exception to this is Fillable PDF forms. You can also create fillable PDF free forms with the new PDF Editor, but I doubt this is what you are observing.

Please send your form URL and let us understand your question better.
