I am trying to get data from a postgreSQL database populated into the form based on a barcode scan match.

Unfortunately, this is not possible.

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to populate the form with data from a PostgreSQL database while the user is filling the form.

As a workaround, I suggest you try and export your data to an Excel (Spreadsheet) or a CSV file.

Then, using the Spreadsheet to Form widget, the users will be able to enter a unique code based on which the form will be populated (with the data from the spreadsheet).
