Hi this might be a little to specific but I want to allow someone to choose a username i.e. it has to be unique.
How would I only allow a field to have a unique submission allowed i.e. jotform checks the database for matched before allowing the form to submit.
Do you allow for this functionality?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

Unfortunately not. Jotform forms are submitted in one go. The functionality you are describing would require a partial submission via ajax to some other site so that you could validate the username, and then submit the form via Jotform. The best solution I can offer you is to split the submission process into two seperate forms. The first form can be directed to your own custom thank-you page, which would query your own database to check for unique usernames. That thank-you page could then conditionally display the second form if the username is unique.
Custom Thank-you pages can be created in the form builder by clicking the Thank You button.
HTTP POST can be set up by clicking the preferences button, and selecting Advanced Settings:
