    How Do We Add Javascript to Custom Thank You Message

    Asked by ecbudesign on January 09, 2013 at 04:12 PM

    I am building a form that lets user enter text that I am then converting into HTML, as follwos:

    Enter a page title: [______________]

    Enter a summary: [______________]

    On submit, I am wrapping the submitted info as folows:

    <div class="wrapSection">

    To make it easy for users to copy and paste this HTML code into their WYSIWYG content area, I'd like to use Syntax Highlighter, as follows:

    <!-- Syntax Highlighter -->

    <script type="text/javascript" src="https://www.mysite.com/shCore.js"></script>

    <!-- Syntax Highlighter Brushes -->

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//www.mysite.com/shBrushXml.js"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript" src="//www.mysite.com/shBrushJScript.js"></script>

    <script type="text/javascript">SyntaxHighlighter.all();</script>

    <link rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.mysite.com/shCore.css" rel="nofollow noopener" type="text/css" media="screen" />

    <link rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.mysite.com/shThemeDefault.css" rel="nofollow noopener" type="text/css" media="screen" />

    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" target="_blank" href="http://www.mysite.com/shCoreDefault.css" rel="nofollow noopener"/>

    <!-- BEGIN Code Copy -->

    <pre class="brush: html">

    <div class="wrapSection">

    I've included a link to the test page that uses a form that is connected to a Thank You message that uses code siilar to what is above.  I've also included a screenshot of what I am tring to do with the Thank You message.

    Sorry but it is not possible. We do not allow javascript injection on Thank you Message editor.

    A possible solution is to use Custom URL thank you option and enable your form's send post data so you can get user's value from the form. Though, this requires basic knowledge on PHP, if you are interested follow this guide: How to Post Submission Data to Thank You Page

    Feel free to let us know if you have further questions. Thanks!

    That is too bad.  Does it also cut out style sheet links?

    I will check out the link above, unfortunately, I don't currently have a place to host wth PHP support.

    Hi, actually tested your form's direct URL.. and I got this thank you screen.

    Is this not enough to what you need? And yes, even stylesheet links are stripped off in the TY page.

    There are some free web hosting providers that supports PHP... you can search for them.
