Should I use my merchant or sandbox account when testing payments with Authorize.net?

    Hi there,

I'm unclear on testing with Authorize.net - I've read your instructions, signed up for a sandbox account through Authorize...  In jotform's setup wizard Do I replace our real API transaction code and key for the 'fake' practice ones I was given through sandbox?  Is there anything else I need to know about testing?  Thanks so much

    Stephanie

If you are just testing the Authorize.Net integration, make sure that you enter your own API Login ID and Transaction Key and that the Sandbox Mode option is set to YES.

When you are ready to go live, set the Sandbox Mode to NO.

Do i use our real API key or the sandbox API key you get when you open a sandbox account? This sounds obvious, i just dont want to mess up their payment processing by doing it wrong.

    Thanks!

Hey Stephanie - Please use your sandbox credentials (the API and keys from sandbox.authorize.net) and not the ones from your merchant account.
