Can an image be created from the completed form and be set up to auto-d

Asked by guest_30105664929052 on January 11, 2013 at 03:45 PM

Can an image be created from the completed form and be set up to auto-download and transfer to a secure server at the time the submit button fires? And can the data from the form be downloaded as a CSV file and downloaded at the same time as the image?

This is a re-post of a comment on How to Download Form Submissions as Excel/CSV/PDF?

    Thank you for contacting us.

Let me please inform you that something similar is possible with our Dropbox and Google Drive integrations. If you integrate your form with the Dropbox/Google Drive each submission will be sent to corresponding account in a PDF format (+uploaded files, if any) on the form submit action.

We do not have such a feature for the CSV files, but you may try our Google Spreadsheet integration instead.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

Thank you for the quick response.  Looking at software that allows functional users to create forms that students can link to from within our student self-service portal and complete the form online and use validations from the self-service database (either real-time or auto nightly updates, if needed).  Would also need the the ability for technical users to work with vendor technical support to create an automated process that would either get the files from the hosted server or have the host put them on an in-house server for nightly processing.  The images would be indexed to student's records (based on doc type) that would then fire a trigger to mark the received requirements complete perform other APIs, if applicable to the doc type.

I don't think this type of functionality is available but I do appreciate your quick response to my question. And I haven't checked into Google functionality if the images were automatically saved to google docs.  I do like the ability to upload files but unsure if FERPA would limit what we could request be uploaded with the form.  And I understand your answer to say that the "submit-button" process can't save the form data in a csv file, that is an after-the-fact manual download into excel and save as csv.

Just curious, do you think you might develop something like this in the future.

    Thanks Again!!

I am sorry to inform you, but this is too much for our Form Builder tool that we are trying to keep as simple as possible. Unfortunately, we do not have the most of the things you have described.

Note: It is possible to create a link that will generate a fresh CSV report (all submissions included) once the link is accessed.

We have a licensed solution that comes with the full source code and can be adjusted by your programmers.

Alternatively, we have a Post data feature that can be used to forward submissions data to your custom page, so that mentioned data can be processed from your side (saved to the database, generate report and so on).

Also, we have plans to release our API this year, it might be helpful for some custom tasks.

    Thank you!

Thanks Mike. You've been a great help to our information gathering process for the generation of a business case for an electronic forms solution that will integrate with our current ERP systems.

I really appreciate your timely responses.

    Have a great day!!
