    Adding pricing totals

Asked by canvashut on January 20, 2013 at 08:20 AM

    Hi,

First off, love the service you offer.  It's helped us out a great deal in providing online customers a way to get their orders through to us other than by email.

Just getting in touch with regards to whether I am missing a feature or whether your current site can not do what I am hoping to do (easily anyway..).

Basically, we run a canvas printing business.  We offer a large range of sizes and of course, this means a wide range of prices.  Customers have a number of options to pick from and each of these options will alter the final price of the canvas they will (hopefully) buy.

Is there any way I can add a value (£) to each of my options in the drop down menus and then have it be totalled up at the bottom of the form, or even better, be incorporated into the paypal payment form app as the total for them to pay?

I've tried everything I can think of.  Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi,

There are payment tools available in JotForm. Have you already tried using one of this?

I understand it can be quite long form in your case since you have different options per items/product. But you can also try using a multiple column using the form's source code in your website.

    Something similar to this form..

Hope this help. Please inform us if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have looked at the payment tools (specifically Paypal) but whilst it allows me to add options to products, I can't see how to make these options alter the price.

For example, in my form, if a customer wanted to order an 8x10 sized canvas, they then have the option of Thin or Deep frame.  Thin frame would be £22 but deep frame would be £27.  I don't want to have 2 seperate products for these options.  I would prefer if they could select the 8x10 product and then choose the thin or deep from a drop down which would then alter the price accordingly.

    Is that possible?

Also, you can make this public if you like.  I chose private by accident and can't see how to edit it it to public.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

There are options in the paypal field, like quantiy, sizes, and custom one..

    Check this guide  PayPal-Forms

But you are correct, there is no option for customer to change the price or for the price to change base on an option. This means you will actually have to layout all the items/products if they have different prices per option.

But if the price is per group, you can use the option descriptions.

This is the reason I mentioned that it is possibel to be a very long form in your case, and I also mentioned that you can at least overcome this by laying out the forms into multiple columns (to shorten it.)

Please inform us if you have further inquiry.

    Thanks.
