After some testing, I can confirm that Comcast is not letting Email Alerts get through.
I have dealt with their tech guru's before on related matters but got nowhere. ("We are not blocking; it's a problem at your end.") The only solution is for you to do it for your customers if you have the time and interest.

If Comcast is your email service provider for email@example.com ,then you should ask them to whitelist our IP addresses
Otherwise, you might need to change the Sender Email address to firstname.lastname@example.org
