hi there, I just upgraded my plan.

I think it is DISHONEST and OUT OF INTEGRITY to only advise that GST is additional on the checkout page. Please change this. I will not renew next year if the same dishonest techniques are used.

    Thanks

    We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Our prices are a fixed amount that will be charged by JotForm, additional fees may be included due to tax rules or fees the payment processor charges. This is usually added when the purchaser resides outside the US. Unfortunately, we cannot refund this as this is made by the Payment Processor. However, I believe the total charge, including the tax, is shown before you purchase the subscription plan.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you!

hi there, appreciate the responses and clarifications but I still don't understand. Normally if I live OUTSIDE the country I should not pay GST. And people living inside USA SHOULD pay GST.

Our payment processing partner FastSpring does collect VAT and sales tax in multiple countries. They are paying collected taxes to the respective government.

Here is information from their support documents:

    New Zealand GST

FastSpring collects GST for sales of digital products and subscriptions made to customers located in New Zealand.

    New Zealand GST Exemption

Businesses making digital purchases can be exempted from GST collection by providing their valid GST ID at the time of purchase. For those providing a GST ID, no GST will be charged, and the GST ID will be included on the invoice we provide at purchase completion.
