Is there ANY way the ridiculously long verification code used in the email verification widget can be made, say, 4 or 5 characters?

I love the ability to verify email, but SO many people use their phones, and copying and pasting is a real PAIN.

Looking at the email, memorising 4 or 5 characters and entering those would be SO SO SO much easier.

Unfortunately, we cannot change how the code is generated. And I believe that the code's length is as it is to respect the uniqueness of the code sent.
