Can I populate dropdowns based on google spreadsheet data?

    Hi.

I'd like to be able to create a form that populates dropdowns based on the data in the form.

    For example:

Customer Name dropdown is populated by the spreadsheet column (A). If client ABC is selected, then have the email address associated with this client auto-populate the email field of the form.

And, if the spreadsheet updates, will the dropdown options update as well?

    Is this possible?

    Thank you.

Hey @kar0898 - Sadly, you can't dynamically change the options within a dropdown field from an external Google Spreadsheet. The closest widget we have that does something similar is the Spreadsheet to Form Widget.

    Complete guide: How-to-Use-the-Spreadsheet-to-Form-Widget

This widget won't update the selectable options inside the dropdown field though, it will just populate it based on the values from the sheet. For example, if the dropdown field in your form has the options Alpha, Bravo and Charlie, then the widget can auto-populate the dropdown to either Alpha, Bravo or Charlie.

Also, instead of a Google Spreadsheet, this widget will ask you to upload an XLS, XLSX or CSV file during the setup. And from there, it will use a unique code to fetch the values you want to be populated to your dropdown field. The guide linked above covers all the things you need to configure the widget with a form so have a look and check if it will meet your requirements.
