I have a client who wants me to use FormAssembly because it can submit data directly to a database. It is much more costly, plus a really like Jotform. Can Jotform do this as well?

    Thank you for contacting us.

We have an alternative to FormAssembly HTTP Connector feature, you can send the form Post data to 3rd party script with us. Please take a look at the following article:

How to Insert/Update Submissions to Your MySQL Database Using PHP

Also, we have plans to release our API this year, so it may be helpful for similar tasks.

Alternatively, you may consider our Licensed solution to host the App on your own servers.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance.

    Greetings!

We are happy to announce that we have released Jotform Webhooks,  this feature would replace Send Post Data + Custom URL Thank You Page workaround in order to help you transfer forms data to your own database using your own script codes.

To know more about Jotform Webhooks, please click here.

Thank you for using JotForm. :)
