    Adding paypal code to form

Asked by ALDHAmembership on March 10, 2011 at 05:49 PM

I have a paypal account and the code for the buttons. When selected they add to a shopping cart. But with jotform, how can I add this code to a form, (text html) and have the buyer both submit the jot form and then go to the paypal checkout where they can add or remove items in the paypal invoice and return to my website to continue shopping. It appears jotform paypal features are form dependent. What step am I missing?? Thanks.

    Hi there,

Adding your own Paypal code to a form would complicate things considerably since you'd need to set up a custom thank you page and then submit to Paypal from there.  If I understand correctly, you want the buyer to complete the form, then go to Paypal, and check their purchase before paying.  You should be able to achieve what you want by just using the built in Paypal wizard.  Have a look at the user guide page on how to do that:

You can create groups of items or multiple items easily by following the wizard.

If you really want to use your own code then you'll need to create a custom thank-you page and embed your code there.  Or, if it's possible to get directly to your paypal shopping cart from the web then you could try setting the shopping cart address as the custom url... I've never tried that before, but if you send me the paypal code I can take a look for you and see if it would be possible.

    Thanks,

    Daniel
