Capture Payment via Stripe

Good afternoon.

I would like to set up a Stripe form which captures credit card details but does not process an actual payment.  I have a Stripe account.

The purchase is to cover Bond or Damage Deposit for guests renting holiday houses.

How can i do this?  Can I do this?

JotForm does not allow having a form that collects sensitive credit card information, it violates the terms of use. Instead, please use our payment processors. These payment methods comply with the PCI/DSS security standards to process the payments securely.

Note, that we do not store credit card details at JotForm.

Also, we do not allow collecting credit card details using form fields. In other words, it is fine to process online payments, but plain credit card details collection is prohibited.

Good morning.

I understand this but this is not what I am asking.

Am I able to set up a payment in Jotform, which then sends CC details to my connected Stripe account but somehow the form instructs Stripe do not actually charge the payment but only get authorisation. Just like a hotel front desk does.

Will I then be able to capture the payment if I did need to charge the card at a later stage.

As mentioned this is for covering Bond by guests who hire holiday houses.

You must be referring to the Payment Authorization feature of Stripe payment tool.

You can use this feature to capture a customer’s payment information and keep it on your Stripe dashboard so you can charge them later with whatever amount necessary.
