We have sent out an application form but every time we receive a submission we can't see any of the information and I can't find the key that needs to be used to access the document

You may have enabled encryption in your forms.
Have you tried viewing the submissions in your submission page?
Kindly check for the private key in your downloads folder.

If the issue still remains, I would recommend disabling encryption in your form. However, do note that we cannot decrypt encrypted forms even when we disable encryption in the form.
