Can I upload a pdf file to create my form?

UPDATE (February 22, 2019): You can also import your Fillable PDF Form to JotForm inside the PDF Editor.

1. Click on the + New PDF tab.

2. Select New PDF Form.

3. From the modal, you can select Import PDF Form option:

If you want to import a fillable PDF Form you have created beforehand to JotForm you'll need to follow these steps: 

1) Go to this link: https://www.jotform.com/fillable-pdf-form-creator/

2) Click the "Create a fillable pdf form" button.

3) Click "Import PDF form"

4) Click "Upload File" button to upload your existing PDF.

5) You will be redirected to the PDF Editor after your file is uploaded.

Note that, you have to make sure that the file you're uploading should be a FILLABLE PDF otherwise the import won't work. Also, keep in mind that your PDF form won't look exactly like the one you uploaded so you might need to make some adjustments. There is also a more detailed guide about importing your PDF files.

In our system PDF documents are used to view submissions, as a report, and PDF Forms is for receiving submissions, as a regular online form. The big difference between a PDF Form and an Online Form is that you can fill out a PDF form offline and send it when you have an internet connection, but you can't fill out an online form without internet.

If you want to import a PDF document to our system I will need to make a feature request to our development team.
