Why is the form not obeying rules or displaying the form?

Asked by imhealthe on January 30, 2013 at 08:23 AM

I have a form http://form.jotformpro.com/form/30286189013957. In it there are two Show rules and two re-direct rules, depending on the input. I am having two separate problems with it.

First - The 'Show' rules are such that if the two form entries (for the Fields 'Access Code' and 'Participant ID') are either 100A and A OR 100B and B, then the Submit button should show up. But it only works with the latter combination i.e. with 100B and B in the field entries, the Submit button appears but not with 100A and A.

Secondly, using the combination 100B and B for the form entries, clicking on Submit always gives me an error message 404, saying the webpage is not available. It is set up to go to the form http://form.jotformpro.com/form/30286946931967, but it never does. If however, I type the URL address for the form in my browser window then it appears as it should.

Can you explain what the problem is?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

Here is a clone of your form:

    http://form.jotformpro.com/form/30294230548956?

I was able to accomplish what you were looking for by adding two submit buttons and associating each to one of the conditions.

I also tweaked the URLs of the forms where you wanted to redirect.  Please give this a try and feel free to clone it.

Let us know if you need further assistance!

    Hi there,

Thanks for your reply. The first part of the problem relating to the SHow/Hide conditions has been resolved, although I think this is more a workaround for me because I have a large number of users who will be going through this page. Putting a separate 'Submit' field for each and making sure the correct one is selected int he conditional statement will be a nightmare.

The second issue with not being able to see the form has not gone away, unfortunately. I still see the Error 404 come up on the webpage. Using your clone form, there was an error box with a message and a link to the form.

Any clueas on what next? I'll try and embed the form in my website but would like it to work as a stand alone page on the web browser as well.
