    Hi there,

Is is possible to setup SMS as Autoresponder?

The form has a field for mobile number and if completed, can we send a text mesage to the customer which will be exactly the same as the autoresponder email?

    Regards,

Yes, it is possible to do that.

Choose your SMS gateway and just replace your email notification with this. Heres how you can edit your email notification: https://www.jotform.com/help/41-How-to-Change-the-Email-Address-Used-for-Notification-Email

    ex. 1234567890@mail.com

Please try this and let us know if this works.

    Thanks,

    Hi Nik,

Could you explain this in more detail?

We use SMS Speedway, I think this is what you meant by SMS Gateway.

Could you clarify what I should replace the email with? Ideally I want the customers to receive both the email and an SMS.

Sorry for the confusion. Choosing the SMS gateway by the mobile operator shall work only with email notifications which shall be received by you. Since different users use different service operators, it may not work with carrier operated SMS gateway.

Since you are already having SMS Speedway, an SMS service provider you may consider using this service to send an SMS by setting up a web page to use SMS Speedway API to send the message. From JotForm's end, you may setup a thank you page to redirect to this web page so that the message shall be sent as programmed in the web page after submitting the form.

    Hope this information helps!

    Hi Kiran,

Thank you for getting back to me.

Can I just clarify if the below would work, this is essentially the set up I am looking for:

    1) customer completes the Jotform

    2) customer sees the Thank you page

    3) customer receives automatically an email with their WIFI temp password (the autoresponder email we have setup already)

    4) the same email the customer gets is also sent as a text message

I realise this may be a little complicated, I hope there is a solution.

    Regards,

    Gergana

The customer receives automatically an email with their WIFI temp password (the autoresponder email we have set up already)

For this purpose, you should set your autoresponder email. If you have already set up the Autoresponder Email, please skip this step. Otherwise, please check the following guide:

    Setting-up-an-Autoresponder-Email

Also, could you please explain the "WIFI temp password"?

The same email the customer gets is also sent as a text message

You can send SMS notifications by using your own service provider's API.

You can set up custom PHP  "Thank You Page" in your form. You can send SMS by using editing "Thank You Page". You should use your SMS API.

You can check the following guide:

If you need any further assistance, please let us know.

    Hi Matthew,

    I'll try setting this up.

Meanwhile, I started integrating a Jotform with InfusionSoft. Is it possible to link contacts by a field other than the email?

The issue is this - there is a field in Infusionsoft we created which has been populated with unique code for each profile. Aside from this unique code, the profiles are empty of other details. Each one of our prospects is supplied with a code. We also have a field in the jotform called unique code which the customer must complete. And this code is the only information linking the jotform to Infusionsoft at this stage. And then based on this code, we want to 'update the contact' in Infusionsoft and autocomplete all of their details in Infusionsoft taken from Jotform (name, email, phone, etc).

If this possible? Or we must have an email in Infusionsoft to link them?

    Thanks,

    Gergana
