Spreadsheet to Form widget: Is lookup functionality available to select unique code?

Cool widget, but it would be much more useful if it could fetch the data from an online Google Spreadsheet, and configure the lookup function on endless columns.

That way the data source could be updated constantly without having to upload new files... do you plan to add a functionality like this anytime soon?

We appreciate your suggestions, Sebastian. I am submitting 2 feature requests for our developers to consider adding new options.

In this thread, I will submit a ticket for lookup functionality for Spreadsheet to Form widget.

Just in case if you would like to use a workaround, I can suggest to add options of specific column to Autocomplete widget (which provides lookup feature) and then populate Spreadsheet to Form with value selected. Here is the form to test for you: https://form.jotform.com/81916393926973 (start typing 'unique' to see the list of options).

If you will be interested in setting this up for your form, please get back to us and we will gladly help.

Hi Victoria, I have implemented your linked solution ( https://form.jotform.com/81916393926973 ), and it works fine if done in one process. In my case, it does not seem to work though:

I attached an "edit-form" link to my autoresponder, so the client can update his form submission. If he does though, your two-page soltution does not work, the field does not get prepulatedt. Any solution or workaround? That would be so important. Actually, this is already a workaround, what really would be needes is the combination of the autocomplete-functionality (or also the dropdown-functionalitiy) and the spreadsheet to form widget!

    Thanks

Hello, You are right, on edit mode value can not be passed into Spreadsheet to Form widget as its iframe is already loaded. Unfortunately, I do not see a workaround to allow autocomplete on edit link, but a feature request is submitted and forwarded to the team in charge. Hopefully, this option will be added soon. We will keep this thread updated with news on this matter.

    Thank you!

Hi Victoria, I just tried out your solution again and it seems that now suddenly it is possible to pre-populate the spreadsheet-to-form-field from the data of the autocomplete-field even if there is no page-break in between! Could you confirm this please? Thanks

Whoa, it works now! I know there were few updates for this widget recently, so it is likely that one of them also pushed this change.

What is more important, if the value in autocomplete is changed, spreadsheet will capture new option instantly. Previously this was not possible.
