How to stop subscriptions on Square?

I recently switched over my form to accept Subscription Enrollments through Square. However, I don't see where a recurring invoice is set up within my Square account after a customer signed up for a subscription.

Am I missing something? Do I need to set up the recurring invoices manually?

Thanks so much for the help/guidance.

Upon checking, I can see that you have setup your form to accept subscription. You can check our guide here https://www.jotform.com/help/166-How-to-Setup-a-Recurring-Payment-Option on how can setup recurring payment in your form.

    Hey there Jed_C,

The link you sent me actually doesn't help. As you stated, I have already set up the subscription...but I am not seeing the subscription show up on the Square side. Is there any guidance on that?

Please follow the steps below to achieve this:

    1. In your form, go to the Payment field, open Payment Settings, scroll down and Hit Continue.

I apologize if I am not communicating effectively, but I'm saying that I have already set up the Subscriptions on my form correctly. People have been signing up using this form. However, when I go into my Recurring Invoices section on my Square account I do not see these payments as being set up as recurring.

Am I supposed to set this part up manually on the Square side?

    Thanks!

You'll need to manually setup that on Square https://squareup.com/townsquare/how-to-recurring-payments. What you have setup in Jotform will just automatically integrate with your Square, however, if you want it to appear as recurring subscription in Square, you will need to manually change it in your Square account.

Cyd I am having very similar issues....

How are we supposed to manage the subscription once a customer has checked that box on a form? Mine were billed this morning and I have now way to change these settings in either Jotform or Square

This issue clearly needs to be escalated to a development or engineering team at Jotform as customer support cannot resolve this problem!!

    Kevin,

The information I need is not available in this thread. I can only see past activity and not manage the subscription

Unfortunately, I was eventually told that I would still have to manually set up the recurring payments on the Square end, which really defeats the purpose of setting up the recurring payments on the Jotform. I thought it would save a step, but it doesn't at this point. Not sure if this is being fixed or not.

The API is not currently available in Square as per our dev's response. Let us hope in the future that this API will be available for use.

    @cnmitche

If you had anyone complete that form and select subscription they will be charged and there is no way to stop it. Funny that no one will tell me that about setting up recurring invoices manually, they just keep sending me the same Square articles. Thanks for the reply, best of luck with your issues!

    Hello @cnmitche,

Customer-Merchant control on Square subscription is improved. Both merchant and customer can cancel subscriptions via email now.

In addition to this, merchant also cancel subscription from his Square dashboard.

Merchant should go to Customer page and find related customer. After that, merchant should remove customer's card.

Because of the Square API limitations, we cannot create a subscription on Square Subscriptions or Recurring Payment page. Square allow developers to work on Card On File feature.

You can also have a look at the guide for more details: How-to-cancel-Square-subscriptions?

    Thank you.
