Using PDF Editor to display calculation fields in chart or graph form

    Hi,

I’ve created a jotform that contains some hidden form calculation fields.

    https://form.jotformeu.com/90361853122350

These hidden calculations are then shown in the PDF that is emailed to people who complete a form submission. I have this working well. The form is a sort of ‘scorecard’ which asks users yes/no questions and gives them a score in several areas. The PDF is the accompanying report, which immediately sends them their results and also gives them some general information about each section.

I can get calculation fields displayed as numerical values. But I’d really like to display results in chart form - pie charts and sliders.

Instead of having a numerical field that says ‘18’ and then a text field that says ‘your score out of 20’, it would be much neater to have a slider that shows how far up the scale you’ve reached, for example.

Is there any way to do this, or any plans to integrate this sort of feature?

I’m attaching a screenshot of a similar scorecard report created on scorecardapp.com, which has this functionality integrated.

    Thanks

    Ellie

Do you mean to say that based on the form calculation field's value of your form, you want to automatically generate a chart and display in submission PDF of your form?

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to dynamically generate a chart and display in  submission PDF.

I am creating a feature request ticket  and forwarding it to our backend team. We will get back to you as soon as we have any update on this.

For now, I would suggest you to please take a look at our "Visual Report" and see if  that  fits into your requirement. Alternatively, you can export your submission in excel and then generate chart based on the submission data.

    Hi,

Yes, that is what I mean.

The visual report is only for me as a business owner, I think. I want the PDF that is sent with the submission information back to the person who completed the form to include dynamic charts from the data they submitted. I don’t want to have to manually create this using reports for each submission.

I understand that this isn’t available at the moment, but it would be a useful feature to add as businesses are increasingly using scorecards as marketing tools to generate leads and get lots of information from these leads that is pertinent to their business. I can do the whole thing in Jotform, but it’s hard to make it look as pretty as I want it to be.

Thanks for adding it to the feature request list.

I have already created a feature request ticket and forwarded it to our backend team. Though we cannot provide and ETA on this but we will get back to you as soon as we have any update.

I'm working with a number of businesses who are looking for some way of building  PDF report based on an individual submission - a way of customers doing a self-assessment or capability-maturity report. There's only a couple of companies out there who do provide this but they are directed towards large enterprises - so there's a real gap in the market for something that's aimed at a wider market.
