How can I force a checkbox answer based on the selection made on another field?

    Hi,

I would like to know how to force an answer into a checkbox field based upon a specific selection made on a drop-down list.  And I would also like to make that same checkbox field unchangeable once the forced answer is made.

    Thanks!

You can do this with Jotform's Update/Calculate Field condition. What you need to do is put the exact value of the option in the condition.

    ex.

Is that what you are trying to accomplish? Looking forward for your response.

Partially, yes.  But how can I prevent the checkbox field that I am forcing the answer on, be unchangeable by the person filling out the form?  In other words, if the dropdown selection = a specific entry, I want the corresponding check box to be automatically checked, and prevent the person from changing the check box selection.

    Thanks!

** EDIT ** I figured it out, thank you!

It seems that you have figured it out. Setting the field as "Read only" is the answer.
