Signature disappears when editing submissions

    My Department Approval Signature, Name and Date disappears when editing submissions.


    My form goes through three different departments for signatures, Cost center > Legal > Finance. I am noticing that the signature information sometimes disappears after I get a notification legal has edited it. Legal cannot review it yet unless it is signed by the department manager.

    While testing the cloned Form, I noticed that the Form was not submitting as the collapse section needs to also fill.

    So do you want to display these collapse section before submission or you want to show these only when the Form is edited?

    Thanks for your response. I would like to display the collapse section only when the form is edited. The person who is editing gets a notification and they are going in to sign and approve the form.

    As there are more than 40 conditions on the form, can you please explain more about your requirements? As you mentioned, you would like to display the collapse section after submitting the form. Once the form is submitted you want to send the edit link through email to another person? If yes, when you open the form with edit link, you want to display all the 3 sections or you want to hide some sections based to whom you're sending the form?

    (image 1: Finance receives this after legal approves it. Legal is the second Reviewer)

    After Department Reviews it, and Legal Reviews it, it gets rounded to Finance Review. When I go and click on it (I am finance) It shows that the Department Approval and Signature and Department Approval has disappeared. I know they were there previously, because Susan had signed this (see below).

    Somewhere the signature above goes missing after legal reviews it, and before Finance (3rd and final review) reviews it.


    Sorry for the confusion, I wasn't the creator of the form and the rules are difficult to follow. If you can even pinpoint me at even which rules I should be investigating, that would be greatly appreciated.

    The Form Settings / Clear Hidden Field Values option could be causing the issue.

    The conditionally hidden fields will lose values on Submit as the settings was set to that. 

    Example, on the first edit those fields were hidden by conditions. So when the editor submit the form again, the values will be cleared.

    What I suggest you do first is to set the Clear Hidden Field Values option to "Don't Clear"

    This way conditionally hidden fields will not be cleared on submission edits.

    Let us know if this did not resolve the issue.
