    Hi,

    It is possible but form this following fields only:

    Radio Button

    Check Box

    File Upload

    Scale Rating

    Matrix (with Radio Button and Check Box inputs)

    The rest is currently not possible. To Auto Hide Empty Fields, please go to your form submissions page, click on the "Settings" icon and check "Auto Hide Empty Fields":

    Thanks

    Hi,

    We have a new feature in jotform. This is the "Hide Empty Fields on Emails" from advance tab under Preferences. Have you tried these already? Please confirm if these works in your side.

    Note: if the email alert has been edited, it becomes now 'dirty' if how we call it. Which means the said feature will not be work anymore, unless you recreate the email alert.

    Thank you,
    Kenneth

    Is there any progress on this issue?  Hiding the empty fiels on the Autoresponders is a necessity in our business because of the many fields in our forms, but we have to edit the default emails to make them meaningful to our clients.  What is the purpose of marking them "dirty" and eliminating the new feature when they are edited?

    Thank you.

    We don't mark the email alerts as "dirty". It's just a quirk of the software (TinyMCE). There's a workaround which would require embedding a copy of the form's source in a web page and adding this script to the bottom of the same page.

    Would such a solution be suitable in your case?

    Actually, my info about the "dirty" setting is incorrect. It's actually a flag that we set. Please see the the post by our founder (Aytekin) in this thread. I'll submit a ticket to "add your voice" to the request, so to speak.

    Thank you for providing the script.  We will try it in our embedded pages.

    Should the script be inserted before or after the </form> tag?

    We tried the script with form ID 30097302071140 (submit button ID 2).  It did not hide the empty fields and the code appears on the browser. Can you indicate more precisely how this code should be inserted?  We tried it before and after the </form> tag. Same result.

    @mmunguia

    My apologies. I neglected to include the script tags with the code I provided. That's why the script is being displayed on the page and not working. In a nutshell, the tags tell the browser what the code is so that it would know what to do with it.

    Please use this code instead, substituting your form's ID and submit button ID where indicated, just like you did with the other code. Also, the code must be placed after the form code.

    It should work this time but if it doesn't, please share the URL of the page where the form is embedded.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

    I believed that script is what the jotform is using. We implemented it as it is. So its not going to work with "dirty" email responders too.

    Thanks,
    Kenneth

    Kenneth is right.  The script sent by Abajan does not hide the empty fields if the form is edited, which in our case is necessary. The result is the same as enabling "Hide Empty Fields" on the "submissions" settings. I hope JotForm will recognize that this is a real problem.

    Really guy can you please just fix this major problem, we have to hide the empty fields, we have 100 products listed in the form and it is crazy that if someone orders 2 products they have to see all 100 products in the email, this is a serious problem.

    @mmunguia

    The ticket is still open to our dev team's list. It is not marked as a high priority one though this doesn't mean this will be ignored. Hopefully, this will be added in a not too distant future.

    Thanks!

    @ReeferPost

    We'd suggest to open a separate thread asking the same question so you will get updates once this is added to JotForm. Thank you!

    @ReeferPost

    Until the the feature is implemented (assuming it will be) there's a workaround which can be done in the form builder but as you didn't supply the ID of the form to which you were referring, I figured that you may not want to publicize it. As such, please reply to this post. It need not state anything in particular but once it's posted, I (or one of the JotForm Support Team members) will make that thread private. I will then post the solution there.

    @ReeferPost and mmunguia

    A workaround to have headings appear in email alerts has been posted in the thread titled
    How to include headings in email alerts and have only answered fields shown.

    Thanks
