Getting payments in Paypal, some with tax charged and others without, all products are set to be tax exempt in the payment configuration on the form. Any ideas??
Does it have anything to do with the payment type in Paypal, meaning if you make a payment via bank account it doesn't charge tax vs. charging tax for payments using CC?
Thanks,
Sean

Your products are exempted from the tax that's why there is no tax showing to your total payment.

Maybe there is a tax set up in your PayPal merchant account.
You can check this article from PayPal: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Merchant-services-Archive/PayPal-adds-sales-tax-to-ALL-purchases-out-of-state-nationwide/td-p/345722Let us know if you are referring to something else.

That's not the problem, what's set on my form looks correct. I do not want to charge tax for anything listed on the form. When someone purchases an item, for whatever reason it's adding tax (randomly) to the purchase total. I'm trying to understand if tax is being passed in the submission from the form or being added when the customer is being sent to Paypal.
Thanks.

From what I can see on submissions, the form is not charging Tax since Total does not include it:
Have you already checked if Tax is added on PayPal side? Here is related guide: https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/admin/checkout-settings/#auto-calculate-sales-tax

It was on the Paypal side, using a different account and the merchant setting was set to a default that was adding local tax, thanks for the follow up!
