Automatically updating page title when cloning a form

    Hi,

I often clone old forms for ease when I need to update them annually but want to keep the old form and the data associated with it. I've noticed that when you open a cloned form, the page title that appears in the internet browser such as Chrome is still that of the original form. You can see from the uploaded screenshot that you have to go into the settings for the page, show more and then update the page title manually.

It would be far simpler if the page title automatically updated when the form title was changed! Is this a fix you can implement?

    Kind regards,

    Andy

The page title of cloned forms will not change automatically and this is not a bug, but a design. You will have to manually change the Page title. Whereas the form title changes with cloning of forms.

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I understand how to do it, but I don't understand the logic of having to do this manually. What was the reasoning for not having it change automatically? There can't be any situation where someone wants a different title to the form title, surely.

I can understand what you are referring to. The page title is the short description of a webpage that appears at the top of a browser window.

If you need to put a long form title, it can be a long text. But if you don't need it that long in the browser tab, you will need to manually update the Page title as shown on the guide mentioned above.
