Can scale rating questions be used in calculations?

For example, I have a scale rating question with 1-10 as the options. Can this be used in calculations?

Yes, this can be implemented. I have created a new form with a Scale Rating and a Form Calculation Widget. You can view it or clone it to use as a guide: https://form.jotform.com/90766607591972

All you have to do is click on the Widget Settings, and the click on the Add Field button and select the field you would like to use for calculations. In our case, we are going to select the Scale Rating field. 

In this example, the data goes directly from the Scale Rating and into the Calculation Widget. For instance, if the user clicks on the 5 rating, the Calculation field will display 5. You can of course modify what happens with the data inside the Form Calculation Widget. You can subtract, add, multiply and divide fields. There is also a number of math functions included in the widget.
