Can a user designate some choices as important?

We would like to find out what projects people want to work on, and which ones they think are especially important. So there will be a series of text boxes where they can name their projects, such as

* present at a local conference

* go to an out of town conference

* invite some people to dinner

* invite other people on a tour

What type of question would you ask, and where would you put it, to find out which projects they think are super important? And then the others they would get to if they have a chance.
