Why has my account been suspended?

    Hi there,

    I have gone to login to my account and it has been suspended please could you advise why? And also unlock the account.

    The account/username  thinkengine  and forms were suspended due to violation to the Terms of Use.

    Scams. You agree that you will not use the JotForm Service or any form(s) you create using the JotForm Service for scamming purposes to attract, lure, or illegally obtain payment of any sort from others by unjustifiable means such as posting a jotform as a money-making program on a classified ads site as an example of that. Any account reported or found doing so will be immediately suspended.

    Phishing. You agree that JotForm, Inc. may terminate your JotForm Service immediately if a form's purpose is found to be deceptively obtaining, for example: sensitive credit card information, social security numbers, user login credentials, or other sensitive personal information. All these activities are considered as Phishing and any account along with the violating forms will be suspended immediately.

    Collecting Sensitive Information
    . You may not use the JotForm Service to collect certain types of sensitive information, including but not limited to, credit card information and any type of login credentials. You may collect some sensitive information such as social security numbers or driver’s license numbers, but you are required to use best security practices of JotForm, Inc. including SSL and Encrypted Forms features. You are solely responsible for compliance with any data protection and privacy laws and rules applicable to the sensitive information.

    Hi there,

    As there was financial templates within your platform, I was not aware that we couldn't collect bank or credit card information for a Finance Application. My apologies.

    I would kindly ask if you could allow me access to my account so that I can remove any reference to Sensitive Information? Would that be okay?

    Is the credit card/bank account fields the only one which breach time. I am extremely keen to remain inside JotForm's Terms of use guidelines.

    These forms were found on your account as suspicious of phishing activity because you're collecting banking information, driver's license numbers, driver's license and bank statements upload.

    Online Form Builders, including JotForm, are sometimes being used for identity theft and we go to great lengths to prevent this. That is why collecting these types of data is considered as phishing activity, as stated in our Terms of Use.


    You may collect driver's license numbers if your purpose is not to collect these data from the general public, but from your own customers, you just need to comply with two things:

    1. Add the Terms & Conditions Widget (or the Short Scrollable Terms Widget) for your users to read and agree.

    2. Add a Signature Widget so your users can sign and agree to provide such sensitive information.

    However, we do not allow uploads of any sensitive personal information like passports, social security cards, driver's licenses, credit/debit cards and statements, bank statements, voided cheques/checks, birth/marriage certificates, visas and photo IDs.

    If it's important for you to process payments through bank transactions, consider the following recommendation. JotForm has implemented a way to help you process payments directly from your customers' bank account without infringing any law or putting our company in jeopardy.

     

    This payment processor is called eCheck.Net and you can learn more about this by following this guide on How to Integrate eCheck Net with your Form.

     

    Or, if your purpose is not to collect these data from the general public, but from your own customers, then you need to comply with two things.
